This is the quintessential Buñuel film of all time. Deneuve plays Tristana, a virginal young girl who goes to live with her guardian who eventually breaks through his facade of respectability and seduces her. Tristana repays him a hundred-fold, preying on his jealousy and taunting him with perverse whimsies. This DVD comes with a commentary track by Cathrine Deneuve and critic Kent Jones. The film is in Spanish with English subtitles. English dubbed track also included.
