This release on ECM records comprise the now legendary sessions originally appeared in 1961 on Verve records as two separate albums called Thesis and Fusion. The drummer-less lineup includes Jimmy Giuffre on clarinette, Steve Swallow on double bass and Paul Bley on piano.
