Dennis Hopper [17 May 1936 – 29 May 2010]
Dennis played moody young teens with Jimmy Dean in Rebel Without a Cause and Giant, then young cowboy roles with big names like Burt Lancaster and John Wayne. But he left Hollywood behind and hit the highway to success with Easy Rider and not long after a hopped up and high Hopper made his Last Movie – for a few years at least. It wasn’t until the 80s that he was able to exploit his own bad reputation in a series of deranged roles. For art lover Dennis art mimicked life.
